KUSCO organized the “Workshop for Korean R&D Managers and Administrators in International Perspective”, 5-days workshop on Science, Technology and Innovation Policy, and International Cooperation and Technology Transfer issues, from July 21st to 25th.

The total number of 25 participants who are Korean R&D managers in universities and government supported research institutes participated in this workshop to receive an opportunity to understand the global perspectives of R&D management, and US science, technology, and innovation policies. This workshop also provided a chance to learn best-practices of R&D management, international cooperation programs, and technology transfers from academia to industry through a speaker series and a site visit to Dupont, R&D Center, Bell Lab, NIST, University of Maryland, Office of Technology Transfer, and I-Corps Program at GWU.

The workshop was composed of three parts as follows:

  • Presentation and Q&A sessions inviting renowned policy makers, researchers and senior R&D managers (2 days)
  • Site visits (2 day)
  • Break-out discussion sessions & closing ceremony (1 day)
