KUSCO is pleased to announce that we held our 19th KUSCO Board of Director & 37th Executive Committee Meetings on May 12th at the KUSCO Conference room. With newly appointed President, Dr. Seung Jong Lee, President of National Research of Foundation of Korea(NRF), there were 7 other board members attended. For EC Meeting, there were 7 out of 8 EC members attended.
As this is his first time to preside the KUSCO BoD meeting, President Lee acknowledged the KUSCO has been contributed in various ways to promote S&T cooperation between Korea and the U.S. for the past 15 years and expects to expand its scope to meet the mission. He also requested BoD members for proactive participation in KUSCO’s activities.
At the BoD & EC meeting banquet, President Lee presented Appreciation award to Dr. Sung Won Lee, former Chairman of Executive Committee & BoD member and to Dr. Nicholas Vonortas, former Board member for their outstanding service and dedication. Dr. Lee provided his service from March, 2006 to February, 2012 and Dr. Vonortas is from March, 2005 to February, 2012.
