Dr. Jong-Deok Kim, Director of KUSCO, visited the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Washington Office on May 26 in order to have a meeting with Dr. Fumiyo Kaneko, Deputy Director of JSPS. Dr. Kaneko explained overview of programs, budget and roles of JSPS Washington Office. With direction and guideline from JSPS Headquarter, JSPS Washington office runs two major programs on Fellowships and Forum called “Science in Japan”.
Both parties also discussed the possibility of co-hosting a meeting in a near future for bi-national organizations such as IUSSTF, USISTF, FUMEC, which are located in Washington Metro area to exchange ideas & information and build networks.
