KUSCO is pleased to host Dr. Hye-Ryun Kang, President of KOFAC (Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity) accompanied with Dr. Young Kyoung Min, Senior Researcher, Public Relations & Global Cooperation Team.

Main purpose of Dr. Kang’s visit was to signing on MOU between KOFAC and Smithsonian Institution to expand various collaborative projects especially in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) area. President Kang also visited KUSCO and received a briefing by Dr.Jong-Deok Kim, Director of KUSCO on KUSCO’s main programs and its roles.

KOFAC was created for “Establishing Creative Society based on Science” by advancing public understanding of science and global issues, developing creative human resources by strengthening science and mathematics education, promoting creativity in society through the dialogue between science, humanities and arts. KOFAC was launched in 2008, but was founded as the Association for Supporting Science and Technology in 1967.
