The objectives of the meeting
The 2016 ABES will be a forum to discuss and exhibit the scientific advancements of Korean and Korean-American Scientists at the NIH and other universities and institutes of the Washington DC-Metro Chapter of KSEA to the public. The NIH-KSA is an APS of the KSEA Washington DC-Metro Chapter and is an association of Korean and Korean-American Scientists working at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), a federal government research institute within the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). Currently, the NIH-KSA has more than 200 active members in addition to a significant number of exchange and short-term visiting scientists from Korea. In addition, the 2016 ABES will enhance not only the existing networking among Korean and Korean-American scientists and engineers as in the previous years, and area universities to share knowledge in scientific policy and evaluation process of applied biomedical research. Together, ABES 2016 will provide a platform for active exchange of new scientific and technological knowledge in science and engineering as well as information pertinent to developing diverse career tracts in science and engineering.
