The KORDI (Korea Ocean Research & Development Institute) established the KONO (KORDI-NOAA) Lab in the NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) in order to promote and develop new cross-
cutting research topics which require collaboration of Marine Technology between Korean and U.S. oceanic and atmospheric scientists/engineers and policymakers. KONO Lab will become hub of the human networks
between different scientific disciplines and different organizations. The 1st Korea-American Marine Technology Workshop is for the people who want to learn the latest activities of other Korean ocean and
atmospheric scientists/engineers and policymakers who are diligently develop new era of Korea-U.S. scientific relations. It is needed to share the status of technologies and scientific methods, to establish
cooperative research projects, and to plan long-term strategy in order to improve them through participating in climate change and other ocean exploration projects conducted by Korea and U.S.

When: September 24, 2011 from 10:00 to 21:00 – Lunch and dinner are provided.
